Ourland was founded in 2019 with the aim of publishing inspired works of literary non-fiction (and, occasionally, fiction). One of Ourland‘s biggest inspirations was the shortly-lived Grantland, which for four glorious years published fantastic long-form pieces on sports, culture, celebrity, and everything in between, through a distinctly literary lens. That’s really the heart of what we’re trying to do here at Ourland: seeing every aspect of life, no matter how big or small, through a literary eye.
